The UK’s leading independent National Fostering Agency has signed a five year lease agreement with property developer Bellair (Scotland) Limited for 5,495 sq.ft office space with 35 parking spaces at its East Gateway development in Grangemouth, central Scotland.

The deal signifies a significant move for award-winning National Fostering Agency Scotland (NFAS) and specialist fostering provider Fostering Relations, who will continue to operate as separate brands, but combine their existing offices in Stirling and Dalgety Bay into the entire first floor of East Gateway. An extensive refurbishment of the entire suite has been undertaken in preparation for the new tenant’s arrival in order to provide both agencies with more contemporary, flexible open plan accommodation.

Situated in a prominent location in Grangemouth, adjacent to Junction 5 of the M9 motorway, East Gateway was originally constructed as an extension to the Gateway Business Park with the ground floor being the first of Bellair’s successful business hub concepts to offer fully-serviced, managed office space.

Commenting on the letting, Colin Campbell, director of Bellair (Scotland) Limited, said:
“This is an excellent tenant for East Gateway and we are delighted to welcome NFAS and Fostering Relations to Grangemouth. Originally let to RBS, securing another significant tenant further demonstrates the continued demand for well-located and proportioned office space in the central belt of Scotland. More than 35 employees will be based in our property and we will do everything we can to ensure the Agency has a positive experience in East Gateway and will help out with their future occupational needs.”

Bellair was represented by DM Hall and Ryden in the letting of the first floor East Gateway.

A spokesperson for NFAS and Fostering Relations said:
“We are delighted with the location of the new offices as this now provides not only the individual administration and support offices both agencies need, but some great training facilities and capacity for our carers. This key feature is essential in ensuring our foster carers are well trained and have the skills and confidence to support some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and young people.”

Michael McIntyre, Associate at DM Hall, added:
“I am delighted that we have completed the lease to NFAS, who have been a pleasure to deal with. I am sure their move to East Gateway will provide them with an excellent quality, high profile, base of operations which will allow them to consolidate their multiple facets under one roof.”

Iain Taylor, Associate at Ryden, concluded:
“This is a significant letting in the context of the local office market and a real vote of confidence in both the location and quality of accommodation our client is offering at East Gateway.”

NFAS and Fostering Relations both provide high quality foster care that places the welfare of children at the centre of its work. Partnering with Scotland’s Local Authorities and its dedicated team of foster carers to create the best possible opportunities and outcomes for child fostering.
