George IV Bridge, Edinburgh

Bellair acquired the former Elephant House and Patisserie Valerie units on the busy George IV Bridge in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. The properties had been badly damaged by a fire four years earlier and had stood in a dilapidated state until our purchase.

Bellair carried out an extensive redevelopment programme, reworking the layout and working with the local authority and Edinburgh World Heritage to release grant funding given the historic nature of the buildings, not least as the birthplace of Harry Potter.
